Man Games Lost To Injury

During the 1999-2000 season a statistic that was focused on greatly was the "man games lost to injury" stat.

The Montreal Canadians amassed almost 550 man games lost, while the Calgary Flames finished second with just over 500.

The problem for internet browsers was the fact that the only place these figueres could be found was when journalists mentioned them, they were not readily available on the net.

Each week at Calgarypuck.com we will keep you up to date on the man games stat, a great barometer as to what teams are injury prone and behind the eight ball during the season.

In addition, we've added the games played to date, and a unique stat to Calgary puck, Players per game (P/G), which is the average number of players missing for each game in the season. For example a team that has played 20 games, and has 100 man games lost would be missing on average, five players per game, or 25% of their roster. Tough to compete.
