Another year, and most likely another remarkably similar NHL Draft for the Calgary Flames.
They’re near the bottom of the list (20th overall this time retaining their pick from the Olli Jokinen deal and deferring to next season), they’re not knee deep in the draft day deal hype machine (being operated 34/7 by Brian Burke), and they are flying under the radar.

Days like today are always interesting in hockey mad cities like Calgary; people love change, new chapters, and starting a new once again.
The post mortem for another season that was deemed both a success and a failure was put to bed about eight weeks ago and it was the coaching staff that felt the icy glare of a disappointed general manager.
